SPEAKER: HEV SAING

Born and raised in extreme poverty in Cambodia, he was the first and the only person in his whole family to finish 6th grade. All his brothers and sisters had to drop out to help earn a living. When he was in 9th grade, he dropped out but later on he decided to go back to finish high school .After winning scholarships, he went on to study architecture and graduated among the top of his class.  H taught himself to read and write in English with the help of English-Khmer Dictionaries. He then ventured to the United States to pursue higher education. He graduated with a master’s degree Boston University in project management. Hev has continued to educate himself through self-study and coaching from many mentors. Equally important, Hev is proud to be a Rotarian who serves above self. He was a past president of a Spanish-speaking rotary club, even though he does not speak any Spanish. His presentation on "Mentoring: why it is a fast track to business and growth" was very interesting and informative. For more go to http://www.hevsaing.com/
